Dynamic light scattering

General Short Description

The Zetasizer Nano ZS (Malvern) is a self-contained dynamic light scattering device used in the detection of size, molecular weight, and electrophoretic mobility (i.e. zeta-potential; via motion within an alternating electric field) of dispersed particles and proteins

Relevant technical details

Measurement range: 0.3 nm – 10.0 µm (diameter)

Temperature control range: 0°C – 90°C +/-0.1

Light source: He-Ne laser 633nm

Applications

Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) is used to measure particle and molecule size Laser Doppler Micro-electrophoresis is used to measure zeta potential
